Samenvatting

Het legendarische verhaal over de ervaren boogschutter Robin Hood, die in dienst treedt bij het leger van koning Richard om tegen de Fransen te vechten. Na de dood van de koning vertrekt Robin naar Nottingham, een stad die lijdt onder de corruptie van een tirannieke schout en torenhoge belastingen. Daar valt hij voor de weduwe Lady Marian, die de identiteit en de motieven van deze kruisridder niet volledig vertrouwt. In de hoop de hand van Lady Marian te winnen en de stedelingen te redden, brengt Robin een bende bij elkaar die uitblinkt in dodelijke vechttrucs en levenslust. Samen vallen ze de rijke bovenklasse aan om het onrecht te herstellen...
